Scouts

We have two busy and growing Scout troops who, led by an experienced group of leaders, are encouraged to think outside the box and push boundaries. Scouts is a perfect opportunity for the children to learn valuable life skills they are not able to pick up elsewhere.

Whether it be making your own camping stoves out of rubbish or walking in the clouds, teamwork and encouragement always allows the scouts to reach their goal.

All of our scouts meet on a Friday evening from 7-9:00pm

The scouts have a varied programme ranging from exploring York playing giant monopoly to hiking in the dales. We have plenty of other fun things left to do including cooking, both indoors and over an open fire, night hikes, sub zero camp, making home made survival tools, pioneering, navigation skills, performing arts and first aid to mention a few.

The Scouts are also encouraged to be self sufficient on camp; cooking and washing up are just as important as map reading and survival skills.
