Beavers are aged between 6-8 years and take part and enjoy an active, exciting, fun and adventurous program of activities. We aim to have fun, try new things and grow the beavers in confidence & independence.
They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them.
Our Beaver Section is run in parallel over two days by a team of leaders.
Owl and Hiawatha are our Beaver Scout Leaders, supported by a team of Assistant Leaders and Section Assistants. We also have young leaders who are there to help and support the leaders and your children, they are aged between 14 – 18 years and are completing the Scouts young leader program.
Beavers work through an exciting program earning badges. All Beavers are working towards earning the Chief Scout Bronze Award. As long as a Beaver has a high attendance record they should earn this award by the time they move up to Cubs.
