The prices shown above are suggested donation rates perday (or part thereof). For example, a minibus booking from 5pm on a Friday to 5pm on a Sunday would cover 3 days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) so the suggested donation would be 3 x £50.00 = £150.00. Once availability has been confirmed by the transport manager, donation can be made via bank transfer for which the bank account details will be provided by the transport manager.

Q: What insurance is provided?
A: We hold comprehensive cover that is including when the vehicle is on lease. We’ll advise on excess at time of booking.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: No — Collection can be arranged at a mutually suitable time from the Front Street area of Acomb, York.
Q: What licenses are needed?
A: Please see the lending agreements linked above for details of driver requirements.
Q: Is there a mileage limit?
A: No, there is limit, however we ask that you advise us in advance if you intend on covering an excessive amount of miles during your lending period.
Q: Is breakdown cover included?
A: Yes. UK wide breakdown cover is included.
Q: Is fuel included?
A: No, the vehicles are provided on a full to full basis. Therefore we expect it to be ruturned with a full tank. Failure to do will result in a the cost of a refuel being charged along with an administration fee as detailed in the policy/lending agreement.
Q: Can multiple drivers drive the vehicle?
A: Yes, provided they meet the license requirements mentioned above/in the policy/lending agreement. We will complete driver license checks for all drivers. Any driver that has not been named during the booking process and subsqently had their licence checked by 2nd Acomb is not able to drive the vehicle.
Q: Is any safety equipment provided?
A: The vehicles all contain a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher. It is the responsibility of the lendee to ensure that any young child booster seats that are required are provided and used.
Q: Can I take the vehicle abroad?
A: No, the vehicles are not be taken abroad.
Q: How to arrange assistance of the vehicle in the event of a breakdown?
A: Following a breakdown you should not attempt to repair your vehicle yourself. You will be advised of an authorised contact for your booking and this will be listed on your booking confirmation. This contact will be able to arrange breakdown recovery to assist you.
Q: What speed limits apply to the vehicles?
A: The following speed limits apply to all vehicles.
Q: Are the vehicles subject to Clear Air/Low Emission Charges
A: Unforuantly, all 3 vehicles do not meet the requirements of clean air/low emission zones in many cities in the UK as detailed on https://www.gov.uk/guidance/driving-in-a-clean-air-zone and https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone. The lending party is responisble for ensuring the appropriate charge is paid within the deadlines. In the case of the a penanly fine being recieved by 2nd Acomb scout group, this will be transferred to the named contact who was in custody of the vehicle at the time.
